Weight Loss Pills
Apidex Diet Pill
Most of the positive effects promised by retailers and manufacturers of diet
pills are not backed-up by valid scientific tests. Therefore it is not
surprising that despite the large number of diet pills available on the market,
only a few have actually proven to be effective.
Adipex is the best selling brand name of Phentermine. Adipex is an appetite
suppressant and central nervous system stimulant. Actions include central
nervous system stimulation and elevation of blood pressure. Appetite
suppressants are not a substitute for proper diet. For maximum effects, this
must be used in conjunction with a diet and exercise program.
Drugs of this class used in obesity are commonly known as "anorectics" or
"anorexigenics." It has not been established that the action of such drugs in
treating obesity is primarily one of appetite suppression.
Adult obese subjects instructed in dietary management and treated with
"anorectic" drugs lose more weight on the average than those treated with
placebo and diet, as determined in relatively short-term clinical trials.
Adipex stimulates the satiety (feeling of fullness) center in the hypothalamus
and limbic regions of the brain, where appetite and hunger are controlled. To be
effective, Adipex must be used along with a sensible eating plan, behavior
modification, and a regular exercise program. However, weight loss may be
temporary only, especially after the drug is discontinued. To maintain weight
loss or to continue to lose additional weight after stopping Adipex, it is
necessary to follow a sensible eating plan and an exercise program.
Normally the use of the Adipex, is a medication used as an appetite suppressant.
It is used in conjunction with an overall diet plan to reduce weight. Adipex
hydrochloride is similar chemically to amphetamines. It has the potential for
psychological dependency so you should use with caution.
Most doctors and dieticians working with overweight patients understand the
importance of proper nutrition and exercise for all successful weight loss
programs, but unfortunately the message is not getting through to the patients.
